I am the Faculty Director for a new makerspace at DePaul University called the Idea Realization Lab, which opens Fall of 2017.

The Idea Realization Lab (IRL) is a student-driven initiative to promote thinking through making. The IRL encourages people to practice maker-centered learning, find problems through improvisation, and take ownership of their community through direct engagement.

We have over 4,500 square feet of digital fabrication tools, traditional crafting tools like sewing and embroidery machines, wood shop and metal shop tools, and more.
