Project Libity was a collaborative controller developed on Arduino Leonardo that enabled up to four players to control the same character on any computer-driven video game. The platform explored game designer intent and agency by subverting the game experience and turning it into one of frustration — often to comedic effect.
In addition to developing the concept for this hardware platform, I did all of the hardware design, firmware programming, and experience design. Libity was featured in various online outlets including Venus Patrol and MAKE Magazine, and won an award from Aleph Objects for its innovative gameplay features.
